Curriculum

The curriculum at St. Philomene School is driven by the Diocese of Sacramento Curriculum Standards/State Standards and the School-Wide Learning Expectations (SLEs). St. Philomene School is in the process of transitioning from the California State Standards to the newly adopted Common Core Standards. Curriculum standards are used as the foundation for instruction. Curriculum maps for each grade include the standards being taught, the focus/objective of the lessons, and assessments of learning.

Catholic identity and faith formation are integrated into the curriculum through religious truths and values by appreciating God's creation of the world.
